The course will introduce the student to the principles of color theory via an exploration of color families and their associations, color variations, and an examination of the skillful distribution of color to achieve the desired impact. Discover pastels! This course will teach you how to emulate a pastel drawing using Corel Painter and photo reference. We will delve into some brush variants in the Painter software and find out how to change them to emulate different types of pastels. This class will instill fundamentals of using the Auto-painting palettes in ®Corel Painter. Time will be spent reviewing the Auto-Painting palettes and then going on to create your own expressive paintings using various techniques. This class will include a live webinar session once each week, where all students may collaborate with the instructor and students using this time to show your work and receive critique.
