Painter 3, Advanced Techniques will be a series of classes focusing on Painter functions at an advanced level. This course will focus on Selections, Channels, and Masks with an emphasis on channels. At least one work will be created each week designed to utilize the new information presented. You must complete Part One and Part Two prior to enrolling in this class, however the instructor can allow advanced users access without the prerequisite.You will need Painter 11 and a Wacom Intuos, or Cintiq tablet or comparable hardware to take advantage of the new features of Painter 11.

Software Requirements

  • Corel Painter X with some limitations,  Painter 11

Hardware Requirements

  • A computer capable of running Corel Painter
  • Wacom Intuos, Cintiq or comparable tablet is highly recommended. With a mouse you may suffer frustration and not be able to take full advantage of the new features Painter 11 offers.

Before Class

This class is intended for the advanced Painter user.  Topics covered will be in depth and at an advanced level.
Students should have a basic knowledge and understanding of their operating system.  Painter X users are welcome in the class, but it is possible some material covered will not be available with X.  Please consider upgrading your software or downloading the 30 day free trial version, but do not download until the start of class.
