Kathy Pilgrim

Kathy has drawn and painted on and off throughout her life including her childhood years. She has tried many different mediums but always preferred oils. Although mostly self taught, she took many art courses over the years. Life circumstances interrupted her college degree, but she went on to teach beginning painting in Adult Education courses at her local community college, during which time she displayed and sold her original paintings.

She and her husband went into photography together which absorbed their time and energy for many years. They put in many miles all over Eastern US with cameras in hand. With the advent and introduction to the digital painting world; Kathy navigated to a new art form digital painting. She found the digital process phenomenal. ” I was comfortable using Adobe Photoshop but found Painter much more challenging. I didn’t think I would pursue Painter for very long. That was until I found Karen’s classes. It is now a big part of my daily life, I love the interaction with other artists as exciting as doing my own work.The awe I experience of viewing the talent of others is one of my biggest joys”!

Kathy will be introducing you to several creative Corel Painter Classes. Her emphasis will be on gestural and free style painting using Painter.
