Marilyn Sholin
International speaker, author, painter and portrait artist Marilyn Sholin has brought her unique take on colors and paintings to thousands all over the world. Not only has she shared her techniques, Marilyn gives away the secrets on “how to be an artist” and profit from the marketing and selling of being an artist.
Her line of City Art stands on it’s own as an international body of work that has been exhibited and is collected internationally. She teases the viewer with her use of both digital and natural media. She also finishes each painting so it can be produced both as posters and as its own original one of a kind canvas.
Marilyn is a Corel Painter Master, and is recognized as a Master Craftsman by the Professional Photographers of America. Her list of honors is long and boring so we will save you from that.
She is a multi-published author and has written the forwards for other well known authors. Her newest book on Digital Painting will be published by Lark in the spring of 2008. Her articles have been published and she has been profiled in magazines including: Rangefinder, Shutterbug, Studio Photography & Design, Imagine Publishing’s Painter magazine, plus many more.
In 2005 Marilyn created what has become the most successful private Digital Painting Forum on the internet. The forum is growing daily with new members and information. The recently opened Digital Painting Forum Shop is an extension of the forum community and is stocked with tutorials, DVDs, templates, artwork, and unlimited information.
